HTC Droid Eris
Refusal to honor warranty

The LCD screen of my three-month previous HTC Eris failed internally (a large break created over the screen... NOT the external glass screen, however the inner LCD display). No, the telephone was never fallen or put through actual neglect. The telephone was usually combined with a slip on rubber protective case. Verizon promises the disappointment was because of my having transported the telephone in my own wallet (I frequently maintained the telephone within the top pocket of my cargo pants... But NO, the telephone wasn't damaged when seated). Verizon promises the telephone overheated in my own wallet, because of my body warmth... Which consequently, this isn't a guarantee problem. This even though that, your day this issue happened, the exterior heat was within the 90is (it frequently is here now, now of yr)... And my body temperature is 98 degrees plus. Therefore, according to their tale, a temperature differential of a maximum of 10 degrees F triggered this. Curiously, the lady in the Verizon shop who "advised" me of the mistake of my methods... And declined any guarantee state... Maintained her Motorola Droid PHONE-IN HER WALLET. After I asked regarding the apparent hypocrisy of the... So that as to why clients aren't particularly INFORMED about this problem... All I acquired was a "runaround" solution.

The heat / failure situation, as insisted upon by this individual at Verizon is, obviously, complete NONSENSE. She actually chuckled and said in my experience after I confirmed her the telephone and described the issue, that "oh yes, we obtain a large amount of these". Evidently, this can be a typical issue using the HTC Eris telephone... And apparently, Verizon have now been informed to not recognize guarantee grievances of the kind. HTC and Verizon attempting to weasel out-of any monetary obligation, obviously.

I'd insurance about the telephone, but chosen to not utilize it (why the-hell must I spend the $89 deductible to obtain a fresh Eris, when this may well occur again... Also it must have been managed like a guarantee state, anyhow?) Instead, I Have left the POS telephone... And will probably eliminate Verizon aswell.
