My husband signed a 1 year contract in June of last year.in Mar. Both of our phones stopped working at the exact SAME TIME. He took the phones in (Mitsubishi Nexium) to the store where he signed the contract and they told him that whatever was wrong with the phones was not Suncoms problem and they we'd have to send them out to the company to see what was wrong with them. Even at that point, I was angry as
1) he bought the phones at that store - they could have helped out.
2) they went off at the exact same time, which meant it WAS a Suncom problem. Therefore, since we couldnt use the phones or the Suncom service, we didn't pay the bill. At that time, he told Suncom that we didn't want to renew our contract. HOWEVER, a week later, we got a note in the mail saying that it was TOO LATE to cancel our contract as we didn't have the 90 days in advance.
We called EVERYfreakingWHERE and NO ONE was educated enough to help us! Of course though, Suncoms sorry Customer NO Service would call us EVERY day wondering where their payment was and said to terminate our contract, we had to pay them 400.00.
When my husband explained to them (for the 20th time) that they weren't going to get any MORE money from us for NO service, they just kept on sending the 400.00 bill and calling us on an almost daily basis " This is a very important message from Suncom... Blah blah blah." Since they ignore us and our complaint, we are ignoring them and their complaint. Why should we pay for service NOT rendered?
I think I just may call "WAVY News 10 on Your Side."
Must husband is in the Navy and Suncom has a location inside of the Navy Exchange complex. I REALLY would hate to see those junior Navy guys who just want to keep in touch with their families taken advantage of by this uncaring company who employ idiots as Customer Service Reps...
