I have to agree that these stores seem to be sham outfits or just simply resellers who dont tell you that they are such and that the prices and terms of sales can be quite different from those offered at the "official" Verizon stores. At the very least its misleading, at most, fraudulent. Its like someone buying your car and reselling it at a higher price while using your name and reputation. My personal experience in one of these stores was frightening. The staff were indifferent and uninformed. I was shopping for a DROID and all they had was a dummy phone; nothing to check the functionality of the keyboard and other features. The rep didnt even know which operating system the phone uses. I asked one leading question and he went on about how it runs on Windows Mobile (not ANDROID), yet he still didnt know a thing about Windows Mobile either and blathered on with vague praise of the phone's features. Moreover, the employee had several of his unsavory looking cronies hanging about in the store; it looked like a gang hangout. All this with the store manager present. If they post a disclaimer or description of their relationship to the "official" Verizon outlets, I didnt see it.
