Placed unauthorized charges on my bill and lied when they said they would remove them

After checking my AT&T cell phone bill online in October I noticed an unusual "Non-Communication" charge on my bill from a company I have never heard of named AirG. I am on a family plan and usually just contribute a lump sum towards the bill each month. However I happened to check during this month and noticed a charge of $9.98 from AirG.

I have no idea who this company is. I looked through past records and noticed that I have been receiving charges from this company since February with charges adding up to about $10 each month.

Excuse me for not being more diligent and checking my portion of the cell phone bill each month however, I have been with AT&T for 6 years and never thought that I would have to check to make sure unauthorized charges were added to my bill!

I never ever signed up for any service asking to be charged from AirG. I have no idea what AirG is.

I called the customer service number listed on the bill. Spoke with a lady who was not helpful. She said she could not explain how the charges were added but that I "probably" signed up for a service authorizing the charge. I explained to her that I would never add additional subscription charges. I asked for a refund and she explained that she couldn't. I asked for her manager and the manager happened to be unavailable. After much frustration I asked to be removed from the subscription service. The customer service representative said I was removed.

However I checked my bill again in December, and the charges are still there! I called AT&T and asked that they remove me from this AirG service. The customer service representative said they canceled my subscription however said they could not credit me all the money that was unauthorized on my bill since February which has added up to approximately $90!

AirG is not an honest company. It somehow adds charges to bills and lies when it says it will remove them. I never allow anyone else to touch my phone so I know that this service was not authorized by anyone.

If you see any charges from them, make sure to address it with your home company immediately.
