One of the worst things I have done for my business was use Protel communications to install my phone system.
Since day one I have had nothing but problems with this company... After installing my system they billed me for thousands of dollars in fees that were never discussed when we entered into an agreement. I have had numerous problems with my system and always receive terrible customer service. They simply did not show up for many service calls, costing my business a lot of money and potential customers.
The system that I purchased from them is completely unreliable and they are not competent enough to fix it when it goes down... I have had to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for third parties to come into repair problems, update software, etc.
The whole company has a problem with customer service. I feel like their entire organization is a scam... They quote you a price, do a shoddy install and attempt to charge you more than what was agreed. Then they promise to fix any problems, update software, etc... Then they don't show up when something goes wrong.
Stay away from Protel communications.
