Ripoff Unknowingly I agreed by voice to free long distance, never knowing that my bank account would be accessed. I was robbed $59.99 for service I never used

I am embarrased to say I was part of a credit card scam. I was contacted by a company who represented themself as BCI Central Bank. I gave them all my personal information, thinking I was applying for a credit card. The offered quite a few promotional items. One of them was free long distance service for fifteen days. I agreed to all this on voice recording, never knowing that I was agreeing to the long distance company accessing my checking account. I at the time didn't even know the name of the long distance company. When I got my bank statement, I realized I was robbed by both the so called credit card company whose real name I found out from the bank was One Stop Conservancy, and Protel Communications whose name I never heard until it appeared on my bank statement.

The credit card company gave me a customer service number that stays buzy twenty-four seven, so I can't make contact with them. When I called Protel Communication, I was shocked to have them play back to me a voice recording agreeing to paying for their service if I didn't cancel. I never even used the free fifteen days service, and couldn't even if I wanted to because in all the fast talk I never got a chance to ask how to access this free long distance service.

When I called Protel Communications, from the recordings, and from the attitude of their customer service reps. I knew I wasn't going to get any help. They took $59.99, and I am more than pissed off. The credit card copany took $249.99. I would really like to get back at these guys.

The first thing I did was call the credit report company, paniked about my identity being stolen, so they are alerted. Then I called the Atorney General of New York State. I am in the process of filling out the forms he sent. I also closed my bank accounts from a bank I have been doing business with for years. I plan to make a police report.

I was on line searching for Protel Communications when I found your website. I am so willing to work with you, and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
