It took me 3 calls to get "almost" everything I was promised in writing before they hooked up service. I finally got all my specials, but the equipment they sold me didn't work right. Working with the customer service and tech support department it took 4 days to even figure out the problem. Too bad the cancellation policy only allows 24 hours. It cost an extra $200 to fix the problem, part of which was because they had to send someone out to my house again to fix the problem (which they charged me an additional installation charge for). The service is good once it works right, but once they have their hooks in you they are horribly uncooperative fixing problems. There seems to be no accountability by Directv once you are under contract.
