1. A complete install should have been a two line install that would have allowed recording of two different programs at the same time. DirecTV installer only installed single line. The installer attempted to charge an extra $60 at time of the install for the second line. When we declined he left without completing the install.
2. The same installer forged my signature on the work order, claiming I'm satisfied with the install.
3. I called DirecTV after the above to cancel the service. Took a couple of weeks but finally the representative finally agreed to cancel the service without the early cancellation fee. After additional calls, a supervisor promised me a refund on my credit card on a said date 1 week from our conversation. When the charge was not refunded on the said date, I called back. Another supervisor came on the phone, claiming the prior supervisor lied about her position as a supervisor. Also states that "DirecTV IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT THEIR REPRESENTATIVES PROMISE ON THE PHONE." This guy further stated, "you believe what you want to believe, and how do I know our installer truly did forge your signature."
I decided to not deal with them directly anymore, as any discussion with their reps are pretty much a huge waste of time. I contacted AmEx, after further attempts by AmEx to resolve the issue and getting absolutely nowhere either, AmEx decided to reverse the charge.
But DirecTV doesn't give up, after AmEx reversed the charge on my behalf, DirecTV decided to start a collection process on the early cancellation fee.
