I switched to Direct TV on January 31st 2009 and was promised a year of service with HD, an HD DVR and HBO for around $70/month plus tax. Well, now they are charging me over $100 and tell me that I did not fill out a rebate form and that it is too late to fill out the form to qualify for the reduced rate. Needless to say, I was never informed of any form to fill out for the special rate. I did everything online and filled out everything that was asked of me, all of the information I received online was at the lower price promised. I even had an online chat with one of their online assistants and she assured me that I would be paying around $70 per month plus tax for my service. At no time was I ever informed of any other information that required me to go and fill out a rebate after the fact. Never!
