About 10 or 12 years ago, I purchased an Ultimate G. I could not twist the levers and knobs to change the system from one program to another. It is supposed to switch easily from vacuum to rug cleaner, to hand vacuum. I then dealt with Dworkin of Kingsport, TN. When he would not take the machine back, I phone the Kirby company and was told that they had nothing to do with the retailers.
Ultimate Technologies came by a couple of weeks ago trying to sell me the new model. Because it was so much lighter, I decided to try it. Then before the guys left, I told them that I had changed my mind, that I still would have the same problem changing out from one system to another. They assured me that everything would be better. Since they had been there more than 4 hours and it was way past my bedtime, and my husband who has cancer, needed me to help him into bed and cover him up, I just let them go and take my machine. I noticed before signing the contract that the price was more than he had quoted, but assumed that it included the interest. When I looked at the contract the next day, I saw that he had changed the price from what he quoted me. When I could not reach anyone at the office, I wrote them a letter saying that I did not want the machine. The day they received my letter they came and picked up the new machine, but did not return mine, nor my down payment. I need my vacuum cleaner and my money back!
Kirby is a rip-off no matter what salesmen is pushing it!!!
This is a similar nightmare to the last one. If Kirby people come by again, I will use my pepper spray on them!!
