I received my Visa bill a couple of weeks ago, and to my surprise there was a charge of $2.79 on it from a company I had never heard of. I thought about just letting it go since it was less than $3, but then thought if I didn't order it, then someone used my card number and did. So I emailed the company. Several days later they responded asking for my name, last 4 numbers on the credit card (that I had already called and cancelled), and my zip code. I provided them with that information.
Today I received another email from GD STAR LIGHT PDAS stating that they did indeed have a purchase on my card to them. They asked that I contact them and let them know if I made the purchase. I emailed them back and told them I did not make that purchase and insisted that they remove the charge within 5 business days or I would contact the credit card company or my bank for help getting the charge removed.
