I thought I could purchase stamps on-line through sci*stamps.com, since they identified themselves with the United States Postal Service logo.
I entered my credit card information but for some reason I changed my mind and exited the screen, I never submitted the credit card information.
Approximately 4-6 weeks later there was a $15.99 charge on my credit card. I called the phone number listed with the credit card information, to dispute the charge but got nowhere, actually they were very rude. They claimed to cancel my account, but after doing research on the internet I read that they still continue charging the $15.99 no matter what they claim.
I called my credit card company and disputed the charge, to my surprise they had submitted another charge of $15.99 to my card. I've read horror stories about this place, even to the extent that they have connections in India.
I called my credit card company and disputed the charge, that's when I found out that there were two charges of $15.99 from this place. I immediately asked them if they would issue a new credit card and close my current one. They cancelled the card while I was still on the phone and stated that a new card would be received within the next 10 days. I will always be greatful to my credit card company for acting so promptly. I was nearly in tears when I got off of the phone.
