I recently and many other consumers are having the same problem. When you Update the firmware from LG on the BD300 Blu Ray / DVD player, it fails the operation of the unit in several areas... The main problem is it wont read DVD format... LG service made me ship it back to them with a 69.00 fee because its 90 day labor warranty has expired. It also costy me 10.00 to ship fedex... LG knows there is a problem with the firmware update and should not be telling consumers to ship the item back for repair. LG should be liable for all cost to all consumers who fall into this TRAP... LG should also be penalized for this practice... Fix the Firmware!
