This is regarding the South Plainfield branch of Home Depot. We had contacted them and scheduled a time to measure and install carpet for our new home. We wanted this to be done before we moved in our furniture and other home goods.
We had given clear written instructions while placing the order that, before coming for the measurements, we needed to be informed at least 2 hours in advance so that we could be available to let the person in for the measurement. We have not moved in yet, so no one lives in the new place. This was blatantly ignored, and the person arrived at our new home without prior notice or a phone call. This happened more than once.
We were put through a lot of grief by their inflexibility in rescheduling the measuring appointment. Fed up, we had to cancel our order, since there was no point in dealing with people who would not work with you and had no consideration for their customers.
I have to say that I was very disappointed in the way things were handled and in the unprofessional behavior of such a great company as Home Depot.
