I purchased a pair of earphones last year that I would be able to work out with surround sound. It was meant to block out outside noise. I purchased the earphones from BestBuy, but it is a Shure brand. They are supposed to be direct competitors with Bose. They are known "supposedly" for superior sound with detail as Bose is known for Bass superior sound. Lately, the earphones in one ear has ben going in and out of sound. Since I was aware of the products 2 year warranty (under Shure), I decided to contact Shure since I didn't have my receipt. I figured since I DID purchase the item at around $115 bucks and DID register it online, they would have the common decency or cut me some slack and at least suggest to take a look at the earphones. They didn't. Below is a detailed description of the interaction I had with them:

My name is *. About 8 months ago (if I am not mistaken) I purchased a Shure headset from BestBuy. I registered it online, but I don't think I still have the receipt. Will this affect the fact that I need to send in my headphones to be fixed? It is not working properly (the sound in one ear keeps going in and out). I have everything else in tact, except the receipt.

Hi,

That is very sad and terrible! I paid for a product and you people have proof of the purchase because I registered it. Yet, I can't get the service needed or desired promised for the product because I don't have a receipt. I think that is deceitful and it shows dishonesty on your companies part. Now, you expect me to spend another $100 to $120 bucks on a new product of yours. Have you not checked the economy lately? People just do not have the leverage of such means you are asking me to cough up again. Usually, I would chew up such lack of service and negligence, but not now. I will report you guys to the B.B. B and or usacomplaints.com and more, just to express my dissatisfaction. Thank you for your lack of time and effort you have put towards my concern. I will also post this on CNET.com and other places to let consumers know just what kind of company you are. Thank you Shure! Marvelous job!
