Rented some equipment from HD camera rentals approximately one month ago. I did so against the advice of my peers (other independent filmmakers) since they had a low rate.
It was one of the worst mistakes of my career. Since then, I've looked into their business, and apparently they have been taken to court multiple times for fraudulent activity.
Sigh, hopefully in posting this, potential "victims" will do the research before the fact, and not learn the lesson the hard way. I would strongly discourage anyone from renting from this company. If you are still inclined, please check out their legal history here...
