I bought a TV from Best Buy in Tustin, CA at a promotion of 0% APR for 36 months. The monthly payment was $44/month. I made the first payment and then had to go to India for the untimely demise of my father. I came back and see that the promotion has been taken away, I have 3 late charges of $39 plus a ridiculously high APR making my monthly payments at close to $90/month. This was all done without any warning or communication sent to me via email which is my preffered medium of coomunication. I paid off my account in full minus the late charges and finance charges as thats what I believe I owe since its a rip off. Since then I have called every month and spent a couple of hours over the phone to resolve this with different people doing different things for me such as filing a dispute and taking off late charges but I continue to get a bill with finance charges and late charges on the finance charges and late charges I refused to pay. Now today when I called, they said its my problem and I owe them this money. So they made money from an ignorant customer by duping them into opting for this promotion. They claim their statements have details about this promotion but there are none. I don't know where to go and file for such a fraud.
