I purchased a Samsung SCH-r610 Slider Phone. Within a few months the keyboard cracked at the "#" under normal use. Being with Cricket service - I paid full price for this phone and had to wait until I could afford a new one - to send for repair within warranty. The phone still worked, it just had an obviously cheap keyboard.
I contacted Samsung in good faith and informed them I truly belive this keyboard is defective. It may be with left-handed constant text use, but there is no reason why we can't expect normal use like anyone else.
They now have my phone and sent an e-mail they are charging me for the repair UNDER WARRANTY. I immediately phoned and got Terrance, who was very good, and sent me on to Tiffany, in the supposed "Executive Customer Relations" department. That is not what I saw.tiffany not only defended, defended, defended, and did not listen (an obvious flaw in good customer service) she then decided my phone was out of warranty! (they've had it awhile) She stated there was "no one else to contact" until pressed.
I believe this is a horrible reflection on Samung, and any future purchases I or anyone I speak with - will think twice about buying from this company.
I am in the market for an HD as we speak too.
I request full refund of this cheap phone (I have never seen one this cheap - and yet had to pay full price. That's Cricket though) OR replacement with a model that stands up to any other company I've owned and with quality to withstand normal use.
