Here's my story, you judge for yourself whether this company is just busy, or negligent:
On December 9, I order an item online from Mr. Culpepper.com. They beat the price of the next guy by about 10% and they were offering $2.99 shipping for the holidays. This was an important gift for someone important to me. Following my order processing, Mr. Culpepper charged my credit card immediately.
A few days later I received an email stating that my item had shipped. It discussed a tracking number I would receive. It all looked good. BUT, they charged me AGAIN. I called... No response, no answering service. I emailed, no response.
It was now 11 days before Christmas, sp I decided to be diligent and send an email to the admin address included on the Contact Us page. Mr C responded within 24 hours, stating that my order would arrive in plenty of time, and I could track the package through the USPS (I know, right?) tracking number he would email me. I had sent the package to my out of town parents house just to be safe, since we'd be spending Christmas there.
Over the next week I sent 8 emails and called their help line over 25 times. I received 0 responses to my emails. Sometimes their phone service just disconnected, sometimes it rang forever, but every time it's was dead end. One time I pressed the wrong extension and got an answering message for a different company. It's clear that Mr. Culpepper is just some dude with a Yahoo store, working in his PJs and outsourcing all the heavy lifting.
Anyway, it's now 3 days after Christmas. It's 19 days after I placed my order. I've been charged twice. I've received no correspondence for 14 days. I have no tracking order. I'm home from my Christmas visit and if by miracle this order does indeed arrive, I'll still be 300 miles from it. Oh, not to mention I had no gift for my special someone.
Even if this is a fluke, and Mr C was sitting in his underwear ignoring the ringing phone to enjoy his holiday. He has an obligation to those he is takin gmoney from (some people twice). Don't shop here.
