I've recieved fliers in the mail from OFFICE DEPOT informing me of a 3 day sale. I went to the store to purchase certain items at sale price. I was interested in a cordless phone from UNIDEN. Regular price, $25.00. On sale for $14.95. I was informed that all the employees now work for a "LIQUIDATOR" & that the LIQUIDATOR will not honor the sale prices in the circular. If I wanted to puchase an item advertised "on sale", I would have to pay full price.
If I wanted the sale price, I would have to drive over 20 miles away to another store that was not involved in this liquidation. I see this as false advertisment. I purchesed the phone at full price anyway, & was told "all sales were final". I'm hoping it works ok, because if it doesn't, I don't know if I have any recourse. My reciept is stamped with this information & the sales clerk crossed out my bar code on my reciept. I would love to nail this company to the wall.
