I have been a DirecTV customer for several years, I am now going thru a rough patch financially. Thru no fault of my own I can only pay my most important bills like utilities, rent. Etc. I explained this to a representative over the phone that I won't be able to make any payments until I get caught up. I was told thank you ma'm I won't bother you again. My service was turned off. I had the understanding that I was having the service turned back on when I sent the back payment. Well I found out by mistake that they tried to withdraw 236.04 from my debit account. It was declined because I didn't have enough, I called the company to find out what was going on, and explain to them that I still considered myself to be a customer and that I have every intention of paying my back payment. I was told pretty much "tough you can have your service back when you pay 236.04 "I cannot afford this! I feel like I'm being strong armed, I couldn't afford the back payment now this? Can they do this? How do they keep customers if they can't work with them?
