I visited Home Depot on 1/5/08 to browse for my kitchen remodel: cabinets, counters, and appliances. Service there was TERRIBLE! I asked to see appliances and was told to start with cabinets, but the woman in that department only shuffled around and gave me brochures. She seemed annoyed, as though I were interrupting her work. I offered to come back later if she had something to finish, and she answered that she was not busy. She replied to my questions with a word or two at most.
I went back to appliances, where a man "helped" me and also acted as if I were holding him up. Again I offered to let him finish his task first, and again I was told he was not busy, yet he looked annoyed the whole time. Afterward, in my car outside, I phoned their local customer service. I spoke to one person and then reached someone who listened, though I ended the call certain he would take no action. Working with them is HORRIBLE!!!
I cannot help thinking they pay more attention to couples or men, since I saw them eagerly helping all the couples in the kitchen areas.
