My story is the same as all of the others. I ordered a camera at a "great" price but did not order any accessories. I was called the next day to confirm order and was "forcefully" encouraged to order multiple accessories. I caved in to an additional battery but not the memory card. That evening, I recieved an email from the company stating my camera was on back order.
I called this am to find out what the deal was and was told the email was an error and that the problem was they had agreed to sell me a memory card at below cost so my order was on the managers desk awaiting approval. I asked the rep to cancel the memory card, and as a matter of fact, cancel the battery and just ship the camera. He agreed to do so and I asked him to check and make sure I would still recieve the item in the time frame as I originally ordered (I paid extra to quick ship). He referred me to shipping where my the extremely RUDE man told me my camera was on backorder for 5-6 weeks.
I then asked him to send me back to customer service so I could order a different camera and he response was he was "customer service". Again, I requested to speak to the department that just transferred me to him and he wanted to know which camera I was interested in. I told him I would order another color. He responded that "ALL OF THE 1030'S IN ALL COLORS WOULD BE ON A 5-6 WEEK BACKORDER" and he promptly hung up the phone on me.
I called back, and explained that the fellow from shipping had just hung up on me and the man wanted to know what the problem was - I explained the above and his response was "well shipping knows whether or not they're in stock. Do you want to just cancel your order?"
I did choose to cancel the order but now wonder if I should cancel the credit card as well.
What an inconvience! I'm leaving on vacation and will not be able to watch my account for the week I will be gone.
This company is a total RIP OFF!!! I read some of the review that I found on a particular site that did reviews for the camera but unfortunately did not google this company and find all of usacomplaints. Coms until too late.
Do not order from them - you're only asking for identity theft!!!
