Ripoff

On November the 7th, I ordered a cell phone program package that was solicited thru the e-mails. After reviewing it, I thought it was a good package to take advantage of, because of all the services and stipulations it mentioned would necessitate my financial situation.

The package offered a free phone, a Sanyo name model, no credit check, just automatic debit out of yur major credit card every monthly billing cycle, $ 39.99 a month for 200 anytime minutes, and 3300 evening and weekend minutes. $20.00 activation fee and $10.00 for ground shipping. The big catch was stated in clear writing that all orders placed before 1:00pm will be shipped the same day. Well I placed the order at 12:30pm. After waiting for 5 business days, the phone never arrrived. After 2 weeks of time consuming and relentless pursuing of my order, I have come to discover that their phones are in backorder. Finally, my phone arrived the 15th of November, which is a Friday, the phone did not worked all weekend, coming to discover that it was never activate from the supplyer. After talking to Liberty Wireless, who has only been a reseller for Sprint PCS for only 4 months. Their technical support department, spoke to 3 different people, determined that the phone is probably bad, damaged from shipping or so. Here is the catch, it will take another 2 to 3 weeks before I can get a replacement phone.

The moral to this story is, one, never purchase anything online, because it will take you an eternity to track a person to talk to you and give you a straight answer. Two, if you receive this solicitation in your e-mail, delete it like a bad virus. No one, especially a consumer should have to endure such poor customer service, more like no service, and harship just to make a cellular package purchase, especially when there a dime and a dozen out there. Any company that runs with disorganization and disfunctionality, only principle is to make a lot of quick bucks need not, and does not deserve to stay in business. It shall be my goal to render them into a business chapter state.
