Tennessee Cellular, Tony (owner), and Tina (clerk/receptionist) failed to fulfill orders, called me "smart ass" in a loud voice, and lied about my account activation papers.
In January of 1997, during upgrade to a new cell phone, over 65% of my contacts/address book were lost; I was given a one-yr activation when I specifically insisted on two, and I was overcharged $105 on my phone upgrade, which was supposed to be 100% free.
On April 7, clerk (Jennifer) could not transfer my telephone contacts to a new upgrade phone. I signed a paper to buy the phone and Verizon wifi for my laptop. I told her I would return 2pm on the 8'th when Tony (owner) was in. He told me he worked 2 - 6p on the 8'th.
Returning the 8'th, no one knew me. I explained what had transpired the 7'th. Tina said in a loud rude voice "I don't mean to be a smart ass, but where's your paperwork?"
I said I left it here with the phone and everything. They pretended to look for things for about 15 minutes before I said "Don't charge my bill and remove everything from my account."
This facility is incompetent to perform standard and simple upgrades and sales. Customer support staff is ignorant and rude. Tony was drunk when I spoke to him at about 6pm on the 7'th on the telephone.
I recommend taking the very short drive to Rivergate or Mt. Juliet corporate Verizon stores and in no circumstances would I wish these less than adequate people on anyone else.
