I signed a contract with this company for one of their MDA phones (Pocket PC type w/Windows). The phone was over 250 dollars, but was promised a series of rebates which would cover the cost of the phone.
The day my contract arrived i penciled in the dates on my calendar when to send in the appropiate rebate and what associated paperwork to send with it. Four rebates... Ranging from 50 to 100 dollars each. Faithfully I sent each one of the rebates in and waited for my check (s)... And waited, and waited...
One year and 2 weeks after I started my contract with this company, I received a "letter" containing 4 rebate denials. The first 3 claimed the reason I did not earn my rebate was due to the fact that the postmark on the envelope was incorrect. The forth rebate included this reason as well as that I was in breach of contract. Having set up my t-mobile account to be paid automatically out of my checking account monthly, very difficult to see where I've been in "breach of contract" or anything else.
It is clear that this company never had any intention of paying the rebates that they offered. The salemen that sold me the phone reported that he never received his commision from this company either for the phone.
I would highly recommend that you avoid doing business with Vericom, Inc. Of Scottsdale AZ at all costs. Doing business with them will be at your own peril.
