Scamming out of fixing a covered item

I bought a camera and also purchased a extended service plan good for 3 years camera bought 8/02/06 taken in for repair 2/23/08 called a week later and was told that the camera was not covered because of misuse of the camera yes the camera has a few wear and tear marks but is not falling apart the they called and said that i can come and pick the camera that was not repaired by the service plan for 50.00. I was told that i will not receive my property untill i pay to get my broked camera back they said that is a fee for it to be looked at by the service protection plan people the people i payed 50.00 to keep a coverage on my camera and if it became no working they would fix it of replace it
