When I first called for information about Hughes High Speed Internet (LOL) I talked to someone who was polite, condiderate, and spoke clear perfect english. Second time I called to ask additional questions again, I was treated very professionally so it seemed this is a supurb way to go. So I ordered it. That was a severe mistake I regret to this very moment. The so called professional hughes installer showed up late (2 hours) he had no explanination why, he spoke and understood english that was "very poor" to say the least. He was russian. The total time I was told (when I ordered the system) it would take to install, setup, etc. Would be 2 hours max. Well he took 5 hours and the system then and now still dose not perfom as promised. I have contacted many times Hughes since it was orginally installed to trouble shoot the system this was done by phone, (again no one spoke understood clear english), online. Their reply was "it's your computers" that is the problem not our equipment, system. I called to request a service tech to come out to troubleshoot the problems, and I requested that they NOT send out the same person who installed it. I was told "he is the ONLY one" in your tristate area that installs, troubleshoots hughes. Our computers are only 2 years old, they worked perfectly prior to using Hughes, we did use dialup and had no trouble what so ever. It was faster and more reliable then this Hughes system is. So this same guy "so called professional installer" came out and stayed here for 4 hours ans accomplished absolutely nothing. All the time he was here he was constantly on the phone talking to someone at hughes helping him or trying to. It seems that Hughes is "ONLY" interested in the bottom line... Making sales, not in customer service, or satisification in any way. I can't wait for my contract to be up so I can cancel this garabge service, and remove it. I can't wait to back to dialup it's cheaper and more dependable by far. I would hope people will stay away from Hughes they you will need alot more "than a clear view of the southern sky".
