Back in 2004 I had an account with Sprint that went into collections due to my financial situation at that time. However, through a settlement aggreement with Penncro & Associates, Sprints collection agent, I paid off the account. I have the receipts of my payments.
Since paying off the account I have been trying for the past four-five years to resolve this issue and it is now 2007 and Sprint still continues to say I owe them money and Penncro states they no longer have the files. I have called, faxed, etc. Sprint coporate office and Penncro regarding the issue and all I get is the runaround.
I am angry, upset, and fustrated to say the least with this issue. And they continue to have this derogatory account information on my credit report, which I have disputed several times.
I want to sue them for harrassment, pain, and surrering for putting me through this. It is not my fault that they can't keep their records reconciled and straight with their collection agents.
Do I have a case? I am also an ARAG member. Any help would be appreciated.
