I upgrade my phone with Cingular by accepting Letstalk rebate on the phones that I wanted. I sign up a new contract (losing my old numbers) in May 1. When I received the rebate form, I learned that the request must be no earlier than September 3 and no later than November 2.
A letstalk customer service rep informed me that the (3 months waiting period) was meant to ensure that I was in good standing with the phone provider. I sent all required documents for a $160 rebate on two phones on September 23rd. I received an e-mail that my rebate is denied because Cingular is not an approved cell phone provider (Are you kidding me?).
I filed a complaint to their Texas office. They asked me to resubmit the entire document. On January, I received a postcard telling me that they cant find the rebate code in their database that I should resubmit all the documents again. I immediately resubmitted all the documents. I am still waiting (Six months later, and more than a year after my contract) for the newest excuse. Maybe the excuse supervisor is on vacation sipping a Martini with my rebate money.
