Ripoff with defective product

We purchased a 42 inch plasma t.V. Last April from Best Buy and did not receive it in our home for two weeks. We had the thing for less than 1 month when we began to have problems with it not turning "on" (it would usually take 2 or 3 times) before the picture would come on. We drove it back to the store (45 miles) and they sent it out for repairs for approx. 2 weeks. When we got it back in our home the problem was not fixed but worse because now the audio would skip out when it got too warm while we were watching it.
So we were told we could go directly to Philips and have it repaired.
We had a service tech come to our home and check it there but decided he needed to keep it for 2 weeks also. The problem is intermittent and hard to detect is what we have been told so we kept running it this way until something else happened.in March we noticed the screen would go fuzzy in spots.
We contacted Philips again; and instead of taking it back to the people who were not able to fix it in the past, we drove it (150 miles round trip) to a service guy that was more than willing to look at it but would not pick it up (he had it for 4 weeks!)
Well we still are having the problem with it not turning on and our warranty is about to expire. They refuse to refund or replace the T.V. They have the worst customer service ever! They refuse to see our time is precious and that for $2500 we expect a quality product.
