HAM RADIO AF4K is listed on the internet. The owner is Brian J. Carling. He claims to sell radio crystals and other electronic components. I made the mistake of ordering two crystals for the sum of $33.00 which included postage and insurnce. I waited for three weeks, but no crystals and no email. However, my check had been cashed.
I then emailed Brian requesting disposition of my purchase stating all particulars and reminding him that he had cashed my check. His answer was
"I am looking for the receipt."
In a followup email three days later, I asked for an emmediate response. I told him that he could either put my crystals in the mail and email me the same day, or send a cashiers check and email that information to me the same day. I told him I would file a compliant with IC3 if I had not heard from him in three days.
He did not respond so I did as I told him I would. IC3 is a newly formed Internet Fraud division under the supervision of the FBI. A case number has been assigned and I am awaiting their response. It may take a while as they have an enormous backlog, but if I have been scammed by Mr. Carling, at least I hpoe to cause him much grief.
Don't purchase anything from AMATEUR RADIO AF4K. You'll lose your money!
