Am I the only one scammed by directv? I cant get cable where I live so I researched the satellite tv offers and after trying to get thru all the "additional charges" fine print I called directv, talked with a salesman named "Michael" for a long time, confirming at least three times that my TOTAL cost per month would be 49.95 for my one year commitment. Soon after installation I received a call confirming my service and my billing total of 76.00 per month. After talking with at least 4 other "customer service" reps I was assured that the salesman must have made a mistake and I have no options except to cancel and incur hundreds of dollars of cancellation fees. How can any company operate like that?
