Dishonest, immoral, fraudulent representation of product and services Ripoff

My first ever computer purchase was a v2 premier back in 2002. Well live and learn! If it sounds too good to be true... This purchase was the worst decision of my 51 years on the planet.

Although the computer is 4 years old, it has only been operational for about 9 months. Following is a list of repairs that were made, eventually, over a period of more than a year. The computer was never repaired and is still not useable.

1. Cpu cooling fan replaced twice
2. Cpu replaced once
3. Hard drive replaced
4. Motherboard replaced

I can only verify that the 2 cooling fans and the cpu were replaced. Those repairs were done in-home. The other repairs required 3 trips to a repair depot. One trip to replace the hard drive and 2 trips to replace the motherboard.

The repair, technical, and customer services were horrible. Just continuous spin, lies, being shuffled from one person to another and multiple repair contractors, put-ons and put-offs. I've never dealt with so many deceptive people and practices in my life.

The truth did emerge as I began questioning the repair techs that came to my home to attempt to make repairs on the computer. Their frustration quite evident at both the computer and having to work under the contract imposed by Viscom.

Here is what I learned. Although Viscom showed premium, name brand components being installed in the computers during the sales presentation on Shopnbc. The computers sold on Shopnbc were actually built with the cheapest components Viscom could get.in fact I was told many were manufacturer rejects bought for pennies on the dollar. No wonder all the component failures!

I was specifically told that the cooling fan mounting hardware was known to be bad and a problem while still being installed in new machines. I was told the motherboards were of a very inferior design and manufacture quality. The power supply was not built well and was not really suffcient. Both cd drives were the cheapest available.

But the technicians were also very frustrated with the way Viscom worked with them. I saw how hard it was to get approval to do repairs. And getting the correct parts was another problem both for the techs and ultimately me.

The computer spent over a year physically somewhere other than my house. It came back from its last trip to the repair depot it worse condition than when it was shipped. Two doors on the front panel were broken and glued back together. And it still wasn't working. The computer sits unused for a little over a year now.

I think both Viscom and Shopnbc should be investigated. I would absolutely participate in a class action suite against either or both of them. I would like to see some agency or commission such as the BBB, FTC, FCC, investigate these two companys for deceptive and fraudulent business practices.
