Comcast flooded primetime tv with their "Deal of the Year" commercials recently and are still running it. The Deal si for $29.95/month, you get "hundreds" of channels. Nothing was said about any other tacked on charges. Well, we just got our first bill. Our bill went from $16 for Basic Cable to over $95!!! They also charged me $15 and change for "Installation" which was neither mentioned on their commercial nor when I called them to order the Deal of the Year. The woman said she won't take the installation charge off. So, I told her I wanted to cancel the Deal and go back to Basic Cable. She then smugly told me that they will charge me another $15 and change for picking up the box! If they were up front about the installation charge when I was ordering it, I'd have no beef. I think it is highly unethical to tack on such a charge when they had two chances to tell me about it. It's just NOT RIGHT that big companies are ripping off small customers.
