I bought a Seagate Hard Drive from Best Buy. It came with two rebates, when combined equaled 80 dollars in savings. I was supposed to mail one receipt for a 20 dollar rebate to one location and the other receipt for 60 dollars to a different location.
I mailed both receipts to the same location and only received the 20 dollar rebate. When I called an asked why I didn't receive the 60 dollar rebate, they asked if I still had the 60 dollar rebate receipt, which I replied No, I mailed it to you.
The CSR then proceeded to tell me that it should have been mailed to the location on the receipt, which was not where she was. I asked if they could send it back to me, and they said they would have no way of tracking it down and to contact Best Buy directly. After contacting a Best Buy CSR, they told me they had no way of re-issuing a receipt to me and that I was basically screwed.
