I ordered a 40" LCD TV on the 10th of Feb. I used PayPal as payment method. Paypal verified payment on the 10th, and the money was certainly gone from my account.
I checked the status of the order on Tigerdirect.com. Status said "Please call" that it was awaiting something about PayPal verification. I called twice, once on the 13th, and 14th. I also emailed on the 13th. I provided the Web verification ID from PayPal in all communications. Both phone calls said they sent it for processing. I never did get a response from the email.
Finally today at noon (15th) it states oder sent to drop shipper for processing. It states this can take 7-10 days.
Here's the issue. They for whatever reason squat on the order. Paypal does not just confirm payment for the sake of it. Yet tigerdirect did not act. They sat on the order for 3 business days! Now I have to wait for more processing.
What they should have done, first-keep me informed. Their customer service people knew nothing. The second call knew nothing of the first (THIS IS ASININE!).
Since they screwed up the order, they should have done something to appease (but since screwing up is seeming to become common practice, appeasing would make them bankrupt).
There was nothing, not an apology, no rush on order, nothing.
This is how they say thanks for spending nearly $2,000 on a order with them.
I remember a time when Tigerdirect was the best thing going. To think I referred my PC clients, family, and friends to them to purchase PC products.
