KODAK ripoff horrible customer service

I purchased a KODAK digital camera Model LS443 for $500 through Gateway computers about four years ago and have had nothing but problems with it, black photos, etc. I immediately went to gateway who then directed me to KODAK. I phoned KODAK and was directed to work with their e-mail tech support in which I did. NOTE: The camera was still under warrenty at that time. All they did was to read the owners manual back to me in which I had read and reread already. Being frustrated, I assumed that I was stuck with it, as I could get no where with them at all. A few mos ago it just completely died, so being angry about the waste of money on this camera I called to vent to them. First call, I got a person who basically could not speak english and so I called back and got an english speaking person. That person made me aware that KODAK had SEVERAL complaints on that particular camera and that they had been fixing them for people, but now the parts had run out and they could only offer me an upgrade to a V730 for $150. I advised their CS rep that "why" wasnt I notified of this recall, etc? Theyhad no answer whatsoever. I reitterated my story about having nothing but problems with the camera from the beginning of purchase/NEW and said that I simply wanted a better deal for all my troubles with it. The CS rep stated that she would contact her supervisors and call me right back and that she wanted me to remain a KODAK consumer, etc. I waited and waited and waited over a week and still no responce at all. I called again and got another non-english speaking person that after much reitteratin transferred me to her supervisor "Rebecca" who answered the phone with a very sarcastic and aggressive tone who refused to listen to me and then spoke loudly over my voice and then finally hung up on me after she said that she was transferrign me to their consumer advocate dept which never happened! I called back and was told that I would be transferred to their consumer advocate dept and then put on hold for 20mins and then the CS rep can back on and stated that he could not do that and that he would have them email me asap. This never happened either. I called yet again the following week and repeatedly emailed them until I got "Tom" in the consumer dept who "doubted" everything that I told him had been going on! Their offer was the replacement V730 camera for $150 in which I checked out the cameras on the internet and this camera sold for around that price anyway! So it was no deal anyway. I informed "Tom" that I wanted my camera replaced and that I would only pay for s&h. He refused and refused to make any sort of an ammends over and over again. Im stuck with a dead $500 camera and ill treatment from KODAK. I could go on, but I kept this report condensed and did not included all my troubles with KODAK.
