I had to cancel my subscription to Sirius due to poor reception from our location. They wouldn't refund most of my money. Out of $157.45, I only received $57.08 after canceling 1 1/2 months into a 1 year subscription, they charged me $100.37 for cancelling. They claimed they can keep up to $75 for the cancellation fee.
I was "encouraged" to sign for a 1 year membership when I only wanted a month to month membership, and the sales person never once told me of their cancellation fee.
How this is legal is beyond me. If anyone is interested in filing a class action suit against them, please let me know. I thought this company would waive the fee since I was never informed and just prorate it for the 1 1/2 months, but they took everything they could and then some.
