When I switched to Cingular from AT&T, the saleslady offered me a bunch of special features which I turned down. However, on my 1st bill I was charged for these features & had to call and have them taken off & a credit issued.
I was told that my minutes, etc. Would stay the same as w / AT&T. I had a lot of roll-over minutes so I asked to be placed on a different plan with fewer minutes. Unfortunately then I went over & got a bill for over $100.00
I was going on vacation when this bill came due. I paid half of it before I left, and called to tell them I would pay the rest as soon as I returned, which I did. I was still charged late fees even though I paid within the billing cycle, and have been threatened with disconnection.
When I received this huge bill, I called and spoke with customer service. I asked that my minutes be restored to what they had been so I wouldn't be going over anymore, and they said the changes were made & would be effective May 26. When I called today about a current bill, I discovered that my minutes had not been raised and my next bill is over $200.00! I tried to argue but the CS rep just kept saying, "So you plan to dispute this bill?" Eventually I had to hang up and get back to work.
