I purchased a Sony Clie' PDA from Avalon Gadgets, expecting the product to be brand new for the price that it came with.
When I received the product, the PDA looked brand new, but the PDA charger is obviously been used up. The charger will not charge my PDA fully and I have to detach and attach my PDA to the charger several times to get it fully charged.
When I emailed the company to complain about the charger, it took them 2 email before they responded and referred me to Sony manufacturer without fully hearing my complaint. He was very abrupt and obviously trying to brush me off. He told me to go to Sony website and make a claim. Eventhough their Terms and Conditions says to contact them within 7 days after receiving the product for any deffects or damaged (which I certainly did after 2 days of receiving their product).
When I called Sony, Sony manufacturer says that he has to charge me $14.99 to troubleshoot this charger over the phone. I refused go further and instead I told Sony that I will call Avalon Gadgets back. When I called Avalon Gadgets, I spoke to Jonathan (this was the same person I spoke with the first time) I told him what I was told by Sony. Before I can even finish my whole story, he was immediately trying to cut me off and just being plain rude, when I asked him to please listen to me first before interrupting me, he became very defensive and argumentative and immediately hanged up the phone without another word.
This is the first time I had purchased electronics from this company and the product did not indicate that this was a display product or refurbished. I went with this company because of it's previous reviews from other consumers, but I believe those reviews are real.
