My 80-year-old mother needed carpet installed for guests arriving in 3 weeks. The sales rep directed us to the 7-day installation guarantee carpet. He explained the 7 days started when she paid, after they came out, measured, and gave her a quote. After paying, they told her it would be 10 to 12 days. So this is not terrible, but it won't be done until the day her guests arrive... maybe.
The 7-day installation signs should be removed from the display, and the sales rep should never tell you "they have to install it in 7 days," especially if no one enforces it.
