I have been a student at University of Phoenix for over a year now. At first the school seemed wonderful until my financial advisor and academic advisor either quit or got fired. I have had nothing but trouble since. They hold your money unnecessarily, the teachers are hard to get in contact with and the classrooms are ridiculous! I had to take a leave of absence for a month due to medical reasons, so I had to drop my classes which were in the fourth week. I was granted the leave of absence and a credit balance was in my account and has been there for well over a month. I was informed that my leave of absence would cover my classes that I would retake when I returned. That all was a lie! They took money that I already had on my account for other classes and told me that I would receive the remaining balance after I started classes. Well I started the classes and they still will not give my money and when I asked my financial advisor he stated that I would receive them, then later he took that back and sent me a email saying that a drop credit would only be given to students! Wow, I am a student. It just gets worse from there.
My academic advisor could not give me any explanation she told me that I would receive another credit for the class and that it was in processing. I asked to report my financial advisor because of his stupidity and I was not provided with any explanations or anything. All I get is the run around. I have taken out so many loans to pay for my education and even after the school get their money, you still do not get yours.in addition to that they do not return calls until they feel like it and no one never has solid answers. I want my money back because I have gone in tremendous debt because of them, and now I cannot pay my bills or take care of my children!
