Two years ago, I was lured by a US Career Institute recruitment representative through email and phone. The ocean of emails and the calls I received in both mobile, home and work place made me enroll in their Medical Billings Specialist program. I did well in their quizzes, until I realized, based on my research of employment rate of medical billings specialist, and several online community forum partners who were also ripped off by US Career Institute, that my hardship was just going nowhere and I was just wasting my time.in reality and in truth, there is no employment for these kinds of programs — especially as these are acquired online, to say the least.
I called the Student Help Desk several times within a given period and spoke with them about my withdrawal to the program. All I received were harassment and intimidation. They wanted me to pay in full regardless of my decision to withdraw, and I was threatened to be sued, my account forwarded to collection agency, and so much more. The absurdity of their customer care is beyond compare!
When I registered with USCI, their documents said 100% guarantee, and no commitment is required. I did not even provide my SSN because it was not compulsory, anyway. How can you trust a company whose website is not even secure?
Lately, I accessed my credit report and found out that it has been completely destroyed by US Career Institute. It stated that I had an unpaid $500.
I am nothing now — I lost everything and gained nothing. No more opportunities for me because of US Career Institute. I am sure they are totally happy about this.: (
I am now making an agreement with an agency to deal with the mess that they have created in my credit rating. I will not communicate with them. I have completely shut down my numbers with them. I will just settle the account obligation according to the arrangement made by my agency. I am also discussing the matter with my state's Attorney General's office. As soon as everything has been done, I am mailing back all the papers that they sent me (although I paid for those trash).
I am reporting this to usacomplaints.com in order to educate all other potential victims to be very careful in their commitment with US Career Institute. Please DO NOT be another victim, and don't allow this ripoff to mess up with the credit rating that will take all your opportunities away. I commit to have this discussed with all concerned in order to prevent any other forms of ripoff by US Career Institute. This company should end it evil deeds!
