My husband and I are Active duty Navy. While stationed stateside my husband purchased a car and was financed thru Drive. Last year we were in the process of moving to Guam, my husband got into an accident. We still had to transit to Guam. We left proper Power of Attorney to a family member to pick up car when repairs were finished.
Before our relative could pick it up, Drive paid off my deductable without telling me and auctioned the car off for less then half of its value. Now they want us to pay the difference which is 11,000 plus. We were not late on a payment, and now for the past 8 months we have been trying to contact this company to no avail. All the number on the web are not in service. I have emailed them and still received no response. Is this company still in business?
Currently I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I am looking into filing a class action law suit against Drive Financial. If there is anyone else interested in filing with us please email me. Or if there is someone already filling please let me know so that maybe I can contribut to your claims. This has gone on long enough. This company has got to stop screwing people over.
