My husband is active duty Navy first of all. We took out a loan in November from Drive Financial, financing a total of 20,983.67 for our 2006 Malibu. It is now July and we still owe 16,453.84 on this account. We ALWAYS make our payments even though occasionally they say we don't. We have made 26 payments of 445.12, sometimes more since they change our payments monthly. Last months was supposed to be 660.48 even though I refused to pay that. A week before sometimes 2 weeks before our payment is due we get phone calls, usually anywhere from 5 to 20 phone calls a day telling us to make our payment even though its not due. If you pay your payments early, NONE of it goes to your car, it just goes to fees they charge you. Fees that no one seems to know what are for, I have asked numerous times and get different answers if any at all. They have repod our car saying we didn't make payments even though we did and had proof. Even after showing the proof we still had to pay over 3000 to get this car back and wait over 24 hours before we could go get it from the other side of the state. On top of that, the people are rude and will yell, cuss and hang up on you if you don't do what they want. They charge us every month to make our payments and are just all out a crappy company. I would love to sue them but I see power in numbers and wont go alone. As for now we are trying to refinance our car so we arent stuck with them till 2013 even though it was a 4 year loan
