Countrywide Mortgage
Rip-off! Crooked! Breaks Numerous Consumer Laws - both Federal and State Laws. Sun Valley

Countrywide mortgage's slogan is that they are the largest and richest lender in the united states. They are also anti-comsumer, predatory lenders, investigated by not only the Federal Trade Common, buy also state attorney general's offices all over America. They can not account for payments made by borrowers and Escrow accounts are missing funds.

They do not accept complaints made through the United States postal service, every thing must be faxed to them. Calls to their legal department by attorneys never get answered. If you call them about a problem, they put you on hold, then transfer your call all around and you waste an hour and get nowhere.

Your best chance of getting some satisfaction is to the consumer law firm of JAMES*HOYER in Tampa, Florida. They filed a class-action lawsuit against Countrywide in Califormia on January 22. The numbers involved in the suit are enormous, and it is easy to sign up as one of the "harmed: parties.

When you contact their site, there is a special feedback form that you fill out online to become party to the suit. This same firm is suing America On Line and other large national companies. My experience with them has been positive and has given me some hope at "settling" the crooked ways of Countrywide.

I also contacted the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc. Gov and filed an online complaint against Countrywide. Raise as much heck as possible, because the only way that they are going to stop their malicious methods is to apply as much pressure as possible. Countrywide has mistreated tens of thousands of borrowers, but the majority of them do not know how to complain and they lose their homes.

Please do your part and ALSO spread the word. There is real power in numbers. If we could get 75,000 of Countrywide customers complaining and filing complaints, then something will have to be done. Thank you one and all. Please remember to stand together. 6/8
