John Lane DO NOT BUY THIS COURSE unless you want to waste $998.00 like I did. It's not live, it's recorded and the so called interaction is an instant online chat with somebody named Mary

I was solicited by the TaxSaleLists.com "Sale Team" to buy a tax lien investment course that was promoted as being "15 Hour Live, Interactive Online Workshop with John Lane (six 2.5 hour sessions)". After writing a complaint letter and a demand for a full refund, they refused.

The "sessions" were about as live as watching a video of Albert Einstein and having some hack "answer" questions on a instant chat. Questions that I posed to the online instant chat person were sometimes answered and sometimes not. When I did get an answer it was vague and shallow. When I typed-in asking if the party answering was John Lane, the answer came back as "Mary" - no last name.

This is not what was represented to me by TaxSaleLIsts.com salesman and this is not what I had a reasonable expectation of receiving. Viewing a recorded session with some unknown party sometimes answering questions in a vague manner is far removed from a live inter-active session with self-proclaimed tax lien expert John Lane.

I was also promised regular interactive workshops, regular live "Lunch and Learn" sessions of which I was not notified of a single workshop being held since I paid for the course last May. I have email confirmation from TaxSaleLists.com customer service that no such sessions have been offered since my purchase. Also promised but not delivered was the monthly newsletter, the Q&A sessions and the group work sessions.

All of what was not delivered was represented to be included in the $998.00 course fee but to my surprised I started receiving $19.00 monthly charges. When I emailed your customer support the answer came back that I had "signed" a contract agreeing to not only the $998.00 course fee but also $19.00 monthly for the "Tax Sale Tool Box". Apparently the Tax Sale Tool Box contains the very things that were not delivered but that I was charged for. The only explanation to the recurring $19.00 charges is that "our Sale Team should have informed you of this".

In June and then again in August I requested a copy of the "contract" that TaxSaleLists.com claims I signed. I was finally provided a contract that was claimed to be "voice signed, claiming it was "signed" under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act known as ESIGN. I am not a lawyer but I expect the Colorado Attorney General will know if this is a proper use of ESIGN, especially under my circumstances where I was not informed of any contract and the "Sale Team" merely asked for my credit card number and never said there was a contract or any charges over $998.00 and never read me the contract to me or even summarized it for me.

The bottom line for me is that the salesman was deceptive and misrepresented the course as being live with John Lane. The course is not live with John Lane. TaxSaleList.com failed to provide the promised multitude of workshops, group sessions, newsletters, Q&A sessions and other services and placed unauthorized charges on my credit card.

Save your money on this waste of time course. There are many good books out there that are a fraction of this $998.00 rip off.
