Wish I had checked ripoff before ordering their CD's. The offer was for a French course that would cost $9.95 with free shipping. When the order arrived 2 weeks late, I found a group of 4 Cd's and a printed sheet congratulating me for becoming a member. Also informing me that my debit card would be billed for 4 months with equal payments of $64.00. Unless I called to cancel the order and returned the merchandise within 30 days. The first call kept me hanging for a long time, and I hung up called back later, and the customer service rep told me that the CD's I had received was what I had ordered, and that I had been removed from their program and would not be receiving any additional billing, That the $9.95 was the extent of my liability, and there was no need to return the merchandise (Yea, right)
I reread the printed material that came with the order, and it was clear that was not the case. So I e-mailed Mr. Alan English who had signed the preprinted material, informing him of myintent to return the merchandise and having canceled mydebit card so no further charges could be made against it.
Having listened to the first CD it was obvious this was simply another one of those listen and repeat learning programs, and in my opinion isn't worth even the $9.95 cost including the free shipping. My advice, and personal opinion? Stay the h*l away from this company
