I filled out an online application for a credit card, I believe it was for their subsidiary Orchard Bank. The check for the $19 "processing" fee was presented to them on 7 Feb. 2004 and cashed on 11 Feb. 2004. It was stated that if my application was rejected, I'd be refunded the $19 "processing" fee otherwise if the application was accepted I would receive a MasterCard. Today is March 10 and I haven't heard from them, no phone call or letter about the status of my application. I have a copy of the cashed check but, trying to find contact information for Household Credit Services is like trying to find a needle in the haystack. As far as I'm concerned they took the money and ran. I consider them cons and ripoff artists and I'm probably very lucky that I don't have a card from them. I'll be sure to steer clear of them or any of their subsidiaries. Buyer beware!
